Digital Translations
Express Digitally Certified Court Translation

WHAT SERVICES DO I OFFER?

Interpreting

I enjoy interpreting. I’ve worked in language, linguistics, translation and interpreting for over twenty years. And I have experience with whispered, consecutive and simultaneous interpreting.

Digitally certified translation

Since January 2021, digital certification of translations has been possible under law. This is the second year that I have provided this option and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.

Certified Translations

In addition to the usual registry and educational records, I have experience in translating large contractual and financial texts, annual reports and documents for organisations such as the European Court of Human Rights.

About Me

About Me

I completed a master's degree program in English at Palacký University in Olomouc, and later obtained a master's degree in Business Economics and Management from Silesian University in Opava.

Afterwards, I pursued a postgraduate course in Management and Marketing at the Czech Institute of Marketing, CIMA A. Building on my experience as a lecturer in countries such as the Netherlands and Finland, I have authored nearly twenty publications in the field of lexicology and lexicography. Additionally, I completed a PhD program in teleworking, based on my research in this field.

In my work as an interpreter, translator, and lecturer, I draw upon my many years of academic experience, as well as my extensive background in translating professional texts. This experience extends beyond the realms of business, economics, law, finance, and accounting, and includes specialized fields such as metallurgy and medicine.

As a translator, I frequently engage with concepts and practices related to lexicology and lexicography.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why do I do interpreting?

Most of my working time is spent on the computer, translating and editing texts. Interpreting is a welcome change for me and an opportunity to broaden my professional horizons.

How does electronically certified translation work?

You no longer have to physically deliver or mail the translation. Simply scan the document or take a photo with your phone and send it by email or data box. I then send the translation back to you with a digital signature and date stamp. A translation certified this way meets all legal requirements.

How do I work?

I take the same approach to interpreting as I do to translating. I search for sources of background information, do online research and create a reference glossary. I now have several hundred such glossaries.

What are the advantages?

If you need an express translation, you can have it in just a few hours. You don't have to go anywhere. Scan the document or take a photo with your phone and send it electronically. I will return the translation to you electronically.

Where do I offer my services?

I live in Olomouc, but am in Prague for work at least once a week. From Olomouc I can easily get to the Moravian-Silesian Region or to the south of Moravia.
